since my daughter has moved out, i have been wanting to make her
something symbolizing her leaving the nest and using the words "wings to fly"
i think that this artwork captures it.....
and for beth who asked how i do this, i take a piece of canvas prepared with gesso, paint with lumiere paint, let dry, paint a few times with beeswax, lay down the artwork, covered a few more times with beeswax, embellish , i will be adding a brass butterfly to her outstretched hand and cover with more beeswax..and voila'
you have a piece of art....

Your new fur baby is precious!! I have a love for big dogs. The fairy dog picture could be my baby except that mine is a tri-color with a dark face. I really love that fairy dog picture!!!
