tomorrows procedure...

some of you know that my daughter has been having flu-like symptoms for about a month now...she has been to the doctor, the gyn, the ER and she still is feeling bad! so tomorrow morning she is going to have a EGD or Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) with biopsy, also known as upper endoscopy, is a procedure usually performed by a gastroenterologist (GI or intestinal doctor). This test involves passing an endoscope, a long, flexible black tube with a light and video camera on one end, through the mouth to examine the esophagus, stomach and the first part of the small intestine called the duodenum.
she is so not excited at all about having this procedure as she doesnt want to have any anesthesia as she has never experienced going to sleep...so she is staying over tonight and tomorrow night just so i can make sure nothing weird happens..it is strange that no one can find anything wrong, i think it is an ulcer, but none of our family has ever had ulcer..last november after a trip to the ER-we found out she had kidney stones..>>> the only good thing out of this whole thing is she still needs her mommy and i so love that....so i will keep everyone posted ........

since she is sleeping then next few days, she brought one of her pups~her name is honey and she is 8months old and is of course a rescue!..we know she is part pit bull which quite frankly scares me a little but doesnt bother my daughter at all, but she is so tiny compared to all our dogs and she is so so sweet and will not leave me alone....she is almost ghost like in her appearance but has a honey cast to her....

i do love honeys face.....

Can't say that I blame your daughter for not being excited about the procedure-doesn't sound like fun at all. But she'll be in good hands being watched over at your house-hope everything goes well & try not to worry too much. Yeah, I know, I'm a mom too-worrying goes with the territory:)

Oh Sweet Pea.....nothing harder than our little chicks feeling sick...even harder when it's such a mystery. I will keep good thoughts.
Now I will go see what goodies you have put in your store.

Kim, Hope all goes well with Heather. You know, when I was working at the hospital, I knew several people who had EGD's done and typed that report for others a million times. They all said that with the anesthesia there was no pain at all and they did not even remember anything.

Glad you are there for Heather. A girl needs her Mom at times like these for sure!!

Honey looks like a sweetie!

lots of love to you all!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed, saying my prayers, and sending my love. I hope they figure out what's wrong and that it proves to be really inconsequential. xoxo, Shari

Kim, I hope all goes well for your daughter. It is really frightening, no matter the age, when things are not as they should be with your babies. I am sure she is feeling better knowing she is in her Mom's loving care!

Please visit my blog later - there is a surprise there for you!

Heather looks like her mommy! A group hug to all my girls and yes it sounds icky and Laura is right, you remember nothing. Gotta love that part. Actually, my mom is having the same procedure next Thursday..tell Heather it must be the "It" procedure of the month! Oh to be so cool in the medical community, she should be honored!Only my very best to you, yours and her's too!

I will send good thoughts to your daughter. I hope they can figure out what is wrong. How frustrating for her.
Honey is a cutie. While I am still never sure my SIL has a pitbull mix and he is the biggest teddy bear of a dog I have ever met.
