life in the front beds...

okay, i couldnt wait until tomorrow to post this, julie and i were out in the front weeding tonight and cleaning up the flower beds..we have been gone most weekends this summer and the weeds are out of control..embarassingly out of control..anyway, i was cleaning out around my hydrangeas and lo and behold there was an amazing praying mantis right on the hydrangea bush..i squealed with delight as i havent seen one in ages..so i yelled for julie to get the camera ..the mantis was watching me watch him and moving his head like he was trying to figure out what i was doing, it was very cool..here are the pictures..........

The praying mantis is WONDERUL....and those pictures are out of this world. You should have one enlarged for a wall in your house...so cool!!!!!

I sure hope your daughter gets some asnwers soon. I can't believe this has all been going on this long and those doctors can't figure out what it is. If it is IBS, I have a couple of friends who live with it and it can be controlled pretty well if you are willing to give up everything you normally love to eat....seriously though, if you watch your diet you can manage it and eliminate the pain .
My mom thought she had IBS and the doctor put her on heavy doses of that activia yogurt and she is much better.

That's amazing! I'm not big on bugs at all, but these photos makes me appreciate their buginess-I don't think that's a word, but it seems to work:)

I'm probably revealing my age here, but wasn't the praying mantis once upon a time, on the endangered species list? Maybe thats just something my parents told me as a child..ha ha!
What a great picture of it. I sure hope your daughter gets some answers soon, so she can start feeling more like herself.

I think this is really a faerie...that is why she did not leave right away. She wanted to hang out with you for a while. Gorgeous shot!!
