another road trip by air~

i write this post with a knot in my stomach and an ache in my heart...we are leaving thursday morning for seattle to have a test drive of the city....julie is being asked to take a job in seattle with her current company..she is perfect for the job as she does her job extremely well and it is not that i am biased but i used to work at this company and have seen her in action, she is amazing in her job..anyway, of course i do not want to move it is far, far away from my family, it is far from my chicago gals, etc...i feel we are centrally located here in ohio, and just a drive away from many things...i know i am being totally selfish but it will not be my call, it will be julies especially since i am still jobless...so we will give it a whirl and take a look see..we will arrive thursday and drive to port townsend to send the day at our favorite B&B and see old friends and the bead store...then friday back to seattle to hangout with our faerie friend~dji, she will show us around seattle..of course we had to see where the closest starbucks was in relation to our hotel and get this..there are 163 starbucks within a 5mile radius of our hotel, is that crazy!!!! there are 65 with a 2mile radius...well we are in the hometown of starbucks......so i will be gone until monday but we are taking the laptop and i probably will post some things as i cannot be gone that long...
so ciao for now...

Wow! This is big stuff!!! I am wishing you both wisdom in this new decision. The only good thing is that I will be able to come visit at least once a year if not more (because of my Dad living out there). Also, I can safely say that if I had to move anywhere right now it would be the Seattle area!! It is gorgeous!!!!! I mean I get teary-eyed when I think of it. I just love it there. Can you imagine tootfest Seattle??? Besides your family I guess the biggest concern is your doggies and kitties. That is a worry. But I think all will work out for the best in the end. You just gotta believe right??? I am spreading some fairy dust your way for best wishes for a good and productive trip!!! Wave at the ferry for me!! I love it so!

"If you look back too much you will never see the doors that open ahead" or some other pearl of wisdom comes to mind. It sounds as if you already have some touch stones in Seattle, but Yikes, even I am a bit freaked out! Here is another pearl of wisdom "The only person who truly enjoys change is a wet baby".

my dearest one... i know this is a big decision and would mean lots of change.. but you don't have to do this alone.. you have your soulmate to be right there every step of the way...

but life has a way to taking us place and changing our lives for the better...

missing you both... and sending you my love... always!

More difficult decisions and worries - they seem to come in packs don't they? I hope you enjoy your visit to Seattle and really wish you the best in decision making.

Oh, those naughty beasties and the paper towels! I didn't laugh - I swear - cause I've been there too!

dHow exciting for both of you !!! I think you will love Seattle and it seems that every other artist lives in that area.
Just think...you could TEACH at artfest...now that would be SO cool...and don't laugh, you are talented enough to do that !!!!
You know that we've moved 13 times in 20 years and change is always exciting....yes, it's hard, but doors open for a reason !!
Take a deep breath, soak it all in, look to the future with open eyes and have fun !!!
And my sister-in-law lives in Seattle...has forever...and LOVES it !!!!!

Oh my GoSH!! You were back in town, and didn't ping me?? I hope to see you both move out to Seattle. We'd love to have you over. There are all sorts of mountain biking trails for Julie-Jennie. I'd even start a crafts day once a month for everyone to hang out with. My vote is for you all to move to Seattle. -Cyndy
